Long Wyre Street, Colchester
Work has commenced on the £5.5million project to transform the East of England Co-op’s former site on Long Wyre Street in Colchester. Working alongside our affiliated company North Essex Electrical we are pleased to be entrusted with providing the full MEPH design and install package, working with Rose Builders.
Features of which include installing AOV systems to all communal areas, AOV is incorporated into the fire alarm system so when the alarm is triggered, it will control the ventilation of smoke and help to reduce smoke inhalation. Making it possible for people to find the exits and fire fighters to gain access and extinguish the fire.
MVHR will be fitted to all apartments providing a system which will reduce energy costs and significantly improve the energy efficiency of the building.
The building will be fitted with an access control system incorporating colour video intercom & colour video phones, fob readers and keypads and a CCTV IP based HD system.
Once complete it will provide five new restaurants, two retail units and 24 apartments for the town of Colchester.
